My Story
Darone Wilson is a photographer & visual artist based in Brooklyn NY. His focus is on orchestrating meaningful connections both through his lens and on the canvas. His photographic work is both commercial and artistic in nature. His use of shadows and natural light illuminates each of his subjects guiding the viewer.
Darone is just as much of a visual storyteller as he is a photographer, oftentimes marrying the two styles, to capturing life in motion. His visual works often use unconventional materials to convey hidden motifs, playing on perception. The use of irregular materials stems from his deep heritage & love of Afro-Caribbean symbols, folktales and five-hundred plus years of hampered black joy. Each item is procured because of its place of origin and its historical significance.
